Moving day

Next weekend Earl will be moving in. His GF is moving in as well. It's not an ideal situation but it's not totally bad either. They came over last weekend and I can't even tell you how much work got done. It was incredible. Earl is like a workhorse. He just never stops. I was begging him to stop for dinner. He feels indebted to me so he wants to get everything done. I told him number 1) the place isn't bad. Yeah it needs some fixing up but overall it's a pretty nice place and Number 2) if you push yourself and get everything done now then what? Might as well pace yourself.

I did ask how long he intended to stay. I said I wasn't going to make him sign a lease or anything crazy like that, I just wanted to have an idea what I can expect. "are you moving in 3 months, 6 months, a year, 5 years??"

He asked if I wanted him to leave. I said no but I just hate not knowing and not being able to plan. It depends on his long term plans on how I'll utilize the rent money. If I thought he was staying I would dump it back into the house but if he is leaving in a few months then I will use it to pay off bills. Ok, truthfully I wanted an idea of his gameplan. I didn't want to ask and put pressure on him but I need to know. He looked me square in the eye and said "I'm not going anywhere Baby. I'm here for the long haul"

I'm going to use the rent money to pay off bills because I'm not setting myself up for failure again.
