Lots on my mind

It's April 5th and we got at least a foot of snow over night. So much so and so heavy that my plow guy can't get up my driveway. Luckily I had parked at the bottom yesterday afternoon. He just plowed out my car so I have no more excuses to not get ready and go to work.

A student at my daughters' high school was killed in a car accident yesterday. They weren't tight with her but they are devastated. The whole district is in mourning. The kids have no school today because of the storm. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I think it would have been better for them to interact with their friends at school and talk about what happened yesterday. A comraderie of sorts. I guess it doesn't really matter in the age of cell phones and internet.

I just finished folding the last of Dana's clothes that are here. I packed up the CSI dvd's and the 6-pack of Mountain Dew is on the bar ready to go out to the car. I am still meeting him tonight. No matter what. I am ready and am done with playing nice. I have been faking of sorts for the last couple of days. I don't want him going off the deep end without having all of our stuff exchanged. Just seems cleaner that way.

I sent Earl some money. Not alot. Well, OK, it was quite a bit but he needs it to come home. We already worked out a repayment arrangement. In spite of the broken heart, I trust him with my life (and my money). He told me a long time ago he would always be here for me and help me in any way that he can and he has. On many occasions. I told him the same thing and this was my chance to step up. I would have never helped him move away but I will do anything in my power to bring him home. It's hard to understand I know but we are soul mates. Beyond friendship or lust. Just like Beauty and the Beast. "and though we may never be together, we will never ever be apart" He'll be starting home next Mon or Tues. He should be home by Thursday. He says he has huge bear hugs and lots of kisses that he has been saving for me. *long sigh* I'm just trying to stand what I can;t quit.

Speaking of next Thursday....It is Shelby's birthday!! A whole year old. Should I have a doggie B-day party for her? ANy suggestions on what I could serve or play for games?

I'm off...to dig out of the snow. April Fools came 5 days late this year.
