curling up

I'm sure you know someone like I am dealing with right now. SOmeone who is quick to judge. Quick to misread, misinterpret. Someone who would much rather read between the lines than the lines themselves. Someone who can cut through flesh all the way to the bone with just a few simple words.

Then be filled with apologies. Apologies that are empty and meaningless. Apologies that don't sooth the ache but only add to it. Apologies that don't say I'm sorry for my actions, but apologies that say I'm sorry you took it the wrong way. Am I the only one who can see the difference in those apologies? Am I the only that it matters to?

I feel lost. I've moved but I miss my old home. I need to start unpacking but not sure where everything fits. I've had friends drop by looking for my change of address but I'm hiding. An unwitting and unwilling member of the witness protection plan.

Did I chose to let you in because you are always on my side? I don't think so. I chose you because you've always realized there is more to the story than chosing sides. You've always seen that chosing sides only makes things worse. You don't stroke my ego you caress my soul and for that I am so thankful.

Slowly I'll be letting more people in. I'll be hanging more pictures. I'll be feeling more at home. For now I'm just glad the bed is set up and I can curl up in it.

Meaningless appologies are better left unsaid, and usually come from those who are meaningless and careless with others ideas, opinions, and outlooks.

Now, give me a hammer & nail and point to where you want this beautiful plaque that says

"Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow; Don't walk behind me, I may not lead; Walk beside me, and just be my friend. Because, Friendship is Love without it's wings"

*muah* love you honey

How about apologies that say, "I'm sorry you're the way you are, you need to bend to fit my needs."

Yeah, been there. 'Tis why my blog is password protected. But then you knew that.
